1.  BruinTech Board Nominations Period CLOSES TODAY

Board nominations close tonight. You can nominate a colleague or yourself (which is actually very common!). 

All positions are open for nominations including the President-Elect. The 2024-25 President and outgoing President are already pre-established. You can view the roles and responsibilities on our By-Laws page.

2. Running out of time to Register for UCTech Conference

There are less than 80 spots left! Make sure to register for a chance to engage with IT professionals all across the UC system. Here’s a general overview of the conference program so you can decide if this is the right event for you. The lineup includes:

3. UCLA UX Governance Charter

UCLA UX is a community of user experience practitioners and enthusiasts who support the development of UX practices at UCLA. UCLA UX meets regularly and has recently published their official governance charter, which outlines membership and participation. Check it out if you’re interested in an intro to UX, the group’s mission, and how to participate further!

4. “Accessibility for Managers and Non-Designers” Discussion

Recognizing National Disability Independence Day (July 26), the UC Office of the President will host a discussion on the LinkedIn Learning course “Accessibility for Managers and Non-Designers.” Take the course and join this talk to learn more about digital accessibility in all aspects of a product, from the beginning to the end of the product workflow and lifecycle.
