Friday Five for July 12th, 2024

1.  BruinTech Board Nominations Open

If you haven’t heard already, the BruinTech Board nomination period is open until Friday, July 19. You can nominate a colleague or yourself (which is actually very common!). Being a BruinTech Board member is an amazing opportunity to:

  • Shape the future of BruinTech programming 
  • Build your toolkit and learn how to be a leader
  • Connect with other IT areas on-campus
  • Grow your understanding of what it means to be IT at UCLA

All positions are open for nominations including the President-Elect. The 2024-25 President and outgoing President are already pre-established. You can view the roles and responsibilities on our By-Laws page.

2. BruinTech Meet the Board (No. 2!)

If you didn’t get a chance to join us last week, we highly recommend coming to our upcoming Meet the Board! Attend to learn more about our respective roles, as well as our experience as board members. This is a great chance to see if board membership is for you (or your colleagues).

When: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 12PM - 12:30PM (PST)

3. REMINDER: Change forwarding for UCLA emails

If you currently have any e-mail forwarding set up, please take 5 minutes to change your forwarding email address by August 1, 2024. If you do not make any changes, your @ucla.edu email will be delivered to your UCLA Google mailbox instead of being forwarded to your preferred email address.
