Friday Five for February 17, 2023

This Week's Stories:

1. DataX Salon Series

We invite you to attend the winter and spring quarters’ DataX Salons hosted on Fridays. The cohort of DataX Salon series speakers have research that displays how science and humanities have worked together throughout history to build a foundation for systems of injustice. Their work highlights how data science interacts with several fields, and in many useful ways. These scholars engage critically with data that affects decisions made across fields of study and industry. The series will take place virtually this winter and fall quarter and will culminate with an in-person DataX Salon Series Finale this May.
