1. RSVP for 2024 BruinTech Spring Conference

You’re invited to the 2024 BruinTech Spring Conference from Tuesday, May 21 - Thursday, May 23! You don’t need to RSVP for the virtual days on May 21-22, but make sure to claim your spot for the in-person session on May 23 – we promise engaging speakers and activities, delicious food, and last but definitely not least, caffeine!

Conference topics include:

  • Change
  • Connecting with IT-Adjacent Staff

2. Friday Five Feedback Survey

Take this anonymous survey to let us know what you’d like to see in future issues of the Friday Five newsletter – it’ll take just 5 minutes, you’ll provide invaluable feedback, and you could also be in the running for a $50 gift card raffle!

Don’t like the content you’ve been seeing? Want to suggest interesting ideas? This is a great chance to make your opinions heard.

3. UX Insights on UC Berkeley’s Discovery Initiative

UC Berkeley Discovery hosted several UX researchers who did a deep dive into the motivations, preferences, and pain points of undergraduate students using the Discovery Opportunities Database. Anyone interested in learning how UX is elevating the student experience is welcome to join the Discovery team to learn about the insights from their research.

When: Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:30AM - 1:00PM (PST)

4. Deadline to submit your UC Tech proposal extended

If you need a little more time to write your UC Tech presentation proposal, we’ve got good news! The 2024 deadline has been extended a full week to 11:59 a.m. on May 8, 2024. You can learn more about how to submit a proposal on the UC Tech website. Take this as an excellent opportunity to share your passions, practice your presentation skills, and meet other techies in the UC!
