In support of BruinTech’s mission, the annual scholarship program provides Bruin technologists with opportunities to elevate skills and further knowledge through professional development programs and continuing education classes.
The Board is pleased to be awarding four (4) scholarships in total:
- Three (3), $1,000 scholarships for a UCLA Extension course
- One (1) UCLA BruinTech TMP Scholarship to cover the cost of the UCLA Extension Technical Management Program (TMP).

Application Details & Guidelines a/k/a Things You Need to Know:
- All applicants must also include a Letter of Support from their supervisor for their application to be considered. Please email letters to btscholarships@it.ucla.edu.
- The scholarship recipient must be a current UCLA employee at the time of application submission and award.
- Applicants can apply for both scholarships but can only be awarded one scholarship.
- Funds must be used by Thursday, December 31, 2026. If the recipient cannot attend or complete the course within the specified timeframe, the award will be forfeited.
- Recipients are required to provide a copy of their transcript upon completion of the course.
- Recipients are expected to give a talk to the BruinTech community about their learnings.
- Scholarships are available to all career staff and eligible contract employees who have completed their probation period.
- BruinTech Members-at-Large are allowed to apply.
- Current voting Board members and past recipients are not eligible. Students are not eligible.
