BruinTech is thrilled to announce our Day 3 BruinTech Spring Conference schedule!

Day 3 is in-person next week, Thursday, May 25th. We have an exciting workshop and great speakers lined up, including Van Williams (UC CIO), Darnell Hunt (UCLA EVCP), and Lucy Avetisyan (UCLA CIO).

Morning Sessions Check-in.  Our first 50 attendees will receive a small gift!

Onboarding and Retention Workshop: Onboarding and retention affects all of us at UCLA, whether it is welcoming a new Bruin or dealing with the impact of people leaving UCLA. In this workshop, we're bringing together representatives from across the entire UCLA IT community to identify challenges and propose solutions. Come ready to share your experiences and ideas and help contribute to UCLA's IT strategic planning.

Systemwide Strategic Direction for IT.  Van Williams, University of California Vice President for Information Technology. VP Van Williams will share proposed strategic direction for IT at the University of California.


1:00 - 1:30pm

Digital Campus Roadmap: The Future of IT at UCLA.  Lucy Avetisyan, Associate VIce Chancellor and Chief Information Office.  UCLA CIO Lucy Avetisyan will share the UCLA Digital Campus Roadmap, how it aligns with the systemwide IT strategy, progress made, and forthcoming enterprise projects and initiatives.


1:30 - 2:30pm

Conversation with Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost Darnell Hunt.  UCLA CIO Lucy Avetisyan and EVCP Hunt will participate in a discussion focusing on UCLA's strategic direction, the integration of technology in relation to our academic mission, and the critical role played by IT professionals in achieving institutional excellence.


2:30 - 4:00pm

Reception with food, drinks, and headshots.  We'll wrap things up with light refreshments and opportunities to continue our conversations and get to know one another. We're offering free professional headshots from 2:30-4:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to update your headshot for social and professional profiles and websites.
