1.  Process Palooza 2024 Filling Up Fast!

A few weeks ago, registration opened for Process Palooza 2024, and seats are filling up fast! Anyone and everyone passionate about continuous improvement, organizational development, service design, and more should join in. This year’s theme will focus on the intersection of lean methodology and AI, specifically how it can increase your knowledge flow. Check out their program agenda and even listen to their podcast!

2. Analysis and Visualization of interactions in R

Attend this workshop to learn how to analyze and visualize the relationship and correlations between variables in R. Instructor Siavash Jalal will showcase how to perform these processes with base R, emmeans, and ggplot2 packages. Some prior knowledge of linear regression and experience with R is recommended but not necessary.

When: Monday, June 10, 2024 at 1PM - 4PM

3. UC STEM Fest

STEM Global Action will be hosting a free STEM Fest, sponsored by UCLA. From learning about robotics and building their own battery-powered cars, this is a great opportunity for kids grades K-12 to engage in a myriad of different STEM activities. All materials are provided upon arrival, so you and your kids just need to drop by!

STEM Global Action was founded to expose and engage members of the community to the world of STEM, with an emphasis on delivering opportunities to underserved communities.

4. FORCE11 FCSI 2024 Conference

FORCE11 is a community of scholars, librarians, archivists, publishers, and research funders that aim to improve the quality of knowledge creation and sharing. They wish to effectively use IT to empower change in modern scholarly communication.

FORCE11 is hosting their annual Scholarly Communication Institute Conference (FCSI) online and at UCLA. The theme “Increasing Transparency, Integrity, and Trust in Research” explores how AI fits into the world of research and the communication between scholars.
