1.  UCLA Newsroom: Kaya Mentesoglu’s technological creativity helps UCLA map its global impact

2. LinkedIn Learning and Pluralsight

As of May 14, 2024, UCLA canceled its license for Pluralsight. Pluralsight is an online learning platform focused on helping people build tech-related knowledge and skills. However, that doesn’t mean our staff members can’t participate in other routes of professional development. UCLA staff still have access to LinkedIn Learning. Here are some courses you might be interested in!

3. Ascend 2.0 Townhall

Join the second Ascend 2.0 Townhall of the quarter to learn more about the BruinBuy Plus release stabilization effort and the implementation of Bruin Finance. Ascend 2.0 leadership and subject matter experts will be present to both provide updates and answer attendee questions in a live Q&A.

4. OpenAI Demo Livestream

OpenAI livestreamed its Spring Update on Monday, May 13. Topics included an introduction to GPT-4o and updates to ChatGPT, both showcasing the evolution of AI tools. Join Mira Murati, OpenAI’s Chief Technology Officer, in her presentation on OpenAI’s mission, general UI updates, and the new flagship GPT-4o (for “omni”) which is marketed as “a step towards much more natural human-computer interaction.”
