3. UCLA UX 2024-25 Co-Chair Elections

UCLA UX is a community of user experience practitioners and enthusiasts who support the development of UX practices at UCLA. If you’ve been active in these communities, consider nominating yourself or another UCLA UX community member to be next year’s co-chairs by completing the nomination form by Sunday, July 28.

4. UCLA wins RoboCup soccer championship

UCLA’s Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory (RoMeLa) team recently brought their sixth RoboCup championship from the Netherlands back to Westwood. Led by Samueli School of Engineering professor Dennis Hong, the robotics team dominated the competition with a pair of adult-size humanoid robots, cleverly called ARTEMIS, tearing up the field in multiple rounds of FIFA-inspired soccer matches.
