1. BruinTech Spring Conference Registration

The BruinTech board is excited to announce that registration for our Spring Conference is open. The event is scheduled for May 29 with the theme ‘Becoming a more Effective Institution’. Join us for a full day of thought-provoking keynotes, interactive breakout sessions, and cross-campus networking. Together, we will explore how we can amplify our impact, enhance service delivery, and collectively shape the future of UCLA’s digital ecosystem.
Supervisors are encouraged to grant invited employees sufficient release time to attend the event, provided that their absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.

2. UC Global Accessibility Awareness Day Event
The University of California is hosting its Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) event titled "From Compliance to Inclusion," on May 15th, 2025. This virtual event, organized by the UC Electronic Accessibility Committee, aims to provide valuable insights into digital accessibility for attendees at all levels of expertise.
Participants will hear from UC tech leaders on practical accessibility skills, the importance of digital accessibility, and audience questions. Highlights include sessions on the legal landscape of accessibility, dos and don'ts, using AI for accessibility work, and building community around accessibility.
The event will feature live-captioning, ASL interpretation, and will be recorded. Interested individuals can register here and receive a confirmation email with webinar details.
