Dear BruinTechs,
Would you like to provide a service to the UCLA community by improving one of our digital services or applications?
Are you interested in developing your user experience (UX) skills and meeting UX-interested colleagues?
Would you like to learn more about another group on campus?
Consider volunteering to participate in BruinTech & UC UX's Usability Workshop!
A team of 2-4 UX-interested staff volunteers will be assembled. Over the course of ~3 months you and the team will:
- Select a digital product to assess from our list of options
- Meet with the digital product's team to identify pain points
- Perform usability research and heuristic evaluations
- Document your findings and recommendations
- Present your findings and recommendations to the digital product team in a cross-campus event on June 8th.
Participants should plan to volunteer approximately 4-6 hours each month. This program has been successfully running at UC Berkeley since 2011! Last year's event had over 130 attendees.
Sign up to volunteer
Sign up period for UX-interested volunteers closes on Friday, March 11th.
This pilot program is brought to you by BruinTech's Human Centered Design subcommittee, BruinTech, and UC UX.
