1. Thank you to UCLA Library Special Collections!
BruinTech would like to thank Library Special Collections for a special tour of 500 Years of Imag(in)ing the Human Brain in the Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library! Russell Johnson, curator for History of Medicine and the Sciences, covered the cultural and medical history of neuroimaging from the first hand-drawn illustrations in the 15th century to the digital and electronic representations entering the 21st, with emphasis on UCLA's contributions. Signs welcoming Bruintech guided attendees to the classroom and rare book room, and each attendee received an annotated bibliography about the works presented. Thank you Russell for taking the time out of his schedule to create a thoughtful and engaging experience for our members!
BruinTech members, keep an eye out for our future tours on campus!
