1. Thank you for attending the BruinTech Academic Congress Watch Party

The BruinTech Board would like to thank all of our community members who came to campus for our Academic Congress on Artificial Intelligence Viewing Party. The BruinTech Board greatly appreciates your time and engagement, especially understanding that many folks work remotely, and we hope to continue providing spaces for you all to connect and learn.

Among many points discussed during the Academic Congress, panelists spoke about the potential of AI to transform society for the better…but also the possibility of it changing society for the worse if implemented without proper safeguards. Panelists explored the unique opportunities afforded by the public university environment in research, education, and policy – how the incentives differ between the public and private sectors, and how that should guide the systems we create.
