1.  UCLA EDI Education Series

The UCLA Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is offering its Education Series modules to create stronger foundations for discrimination prevention and promote inclusion throughout UCLA. The series consists of two (2) self-guided sessions approximately 1-hour long and are available to all UCLA employees through the UC Learning Center.

2. Vote for your UCLA-UX Co-Chairs

Cast your vote by end of day today to vote for UCLA UX’s first official Co-chairs election. UCLA UX is a community of user experience design professionals and enthusiasts whose missions are to connect, synchronize, and grow UX practices at UCLA. You may vote for up to two candidates.

3. IT Services By-the-Number showcase

Among the key campus IT updates, CIO Lucy Avetisyan mentioned in the most recent CIO message that the Office of the CIO introduced the first production of its new quarterly feature: IT Services By-the-Number. The document showcases the outcomes of ITS collaborations across campus partners from Spring 2024. The data is categorized by 5 goals: elevating academic experiences, enabling business optimization, transforming security and unifying networks, driving operational excellence, and reimagining IT talent.

4. CHS building home to new laptop kiosk and charging station

UCLA Health IT announced the arrival of a new laptop kiosk and charging station in the Center for the Health Sciences (CHS). The laptop kiosk is specifically for Mednet account holders, and will require a Mednet log-on to borrow any loaner devices, and users can borrow them for up to 14 days. The charging stations are equipped with 4-digit locks so users can drop off their devices in a secured location and come back when their devices are juiced up again.
