1. Academic Technology Fall 2023 Expo — September 13-15
Get ready for an inspiring three-day event - the Academic Technology Fall 2023 Expo on September 13-15! This inclusive gathering promises interactive sessions and hands-on workshops, where you'll gain practical tools and strategies to enrich the educational experience for all Bruins. 2. BruinTech Tour: 500 Years of Imag(in)ing the Human Brain
Space is limited, so RSVP now. This form will close when attendance capacity is reached or on Tuesday, August 29, at 12:00 pm.
This event is open to all UCLA staff, faculty, and students.
BruinTech invites you to visit UCLA Library Special Collections’ outpost on the 4th floor of the Louise Darling Biomedical Library (12-077 Center for Health Sciences) to tour the Rare Book Room and Biomed Classroom 2 on Thursday, August 31, from 12:00-1:00 pm. Feel free to stay until 1:30 pm for a half-hour tour extension.
Join your guide, Russell Johnson (Curator for History of Medicine and the Sciences), for a guided “pop-up” exhibit on 500 Years of Imag(in)ing the Human Brain through rare books and manuscripts, lab equipment, models, artists’ books, and more. A calendar invitation with the meeting location will be shared with RSVP confirmation.
3. Onboarding and Retention Workshop Briefing
August 29, 2023, 12 - 1pm
Join us to hear about and discuss the results of our ’23 BruinTech Spring Conference workshop. 60 UCLA staff explored the essential components for successful employee onboarding and retention, identified the challenges we face, and brainstormed potential solutions.
During this briefing we will:
- Recap the workshop process and results
- Share BruinTech’s recommendations and actions
- Provide ample time for discussion

4. Navigating Change #AMGoodness
Change is inevitable, but it is important to look at change through two different lenses: how change affects you and your team/others around you. But how do we excel in this changing environment? 5. Learn@Lunch: Dynamic Professional Development: Leveraging LinkedIn Learning and More
