Managed by the UCUX community of practice, the workshop features UX-based product reviews by UC’s IT teams. Whether you’re a UX pro or just interested in human-centered design, you’ll be able to leave this summit with a better connection to the usability work being done across the UC.

The UC Office of the President is celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 16 by hosting a panel of lightning talks. Leaders across the UC system will share what their respective campuses are doing to implement better accessibility features and measures. This year’s event will also include a fun demonstration that showcases digital accessibility. Accessibility is part of the UC’s core values. Make sure to join the panel!

Come join the BruinTech Board at our Viewing Party for the Systemwide Academic Congress on Artificial Intelligence!  We closed our registration for breakfast and lunch RSVPs, to have enough time for orders, but we still have room for the viewing.

Keynote speakers include Daron Acemoglu (MIT) and Safiya Umoja Noble (UCLA), and discussions will center around topics of interest, such as AI’s effect on future job markets and how to assess and reduce bias in AI.

In partnership with UCLA Center for Media, Entertainment, and Sports and Reed Smith LLP, Digital Media Wire has announced that the RightsTech AI Summit at Digital Entertainment World 2024 will be held at the Palisades Ballroom in Carnesale Commons.

The full-day event will generate conversation about generative AI, copyright, licensing, and more, with topics ranging from opting out of AI training models to AI regulation and legislation.
