1. Cybersecurity at UCLA: Trellix Installation Required

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and UCLA is taking steps to enhance our digital safety. All UCLA devices must have Trellix, the UC-approved endpoint protection software, installed by November 22, 2024, and personal devices used for university business by March 31, 2025. Trellix proactively detects and quarantines malicious threats, protecting sensitive data like Social Security numbers, medical records, and research data. It also shields critical systems such as MyUCLA, Box, and Office 365 from cyber disruptions. Faculty and staff are urged to comply to avoid potential risks and financial consequences.

What is required of you?

Collaborate with your local IT teams to fulfill this requirement and show your support around this important security initiative.  Attend weekly office hours via Zoom scheduled every Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. from now until May 31, 2025 to get hands-on installation support and an opportunity to ask questions about the process.

For more detailed information about Trellix, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, or contact the Bruin Connect and Secure Program at ConnectAndSecure@ucla.edu.
