2. UC announces partnership with Canva

Canva recently announced its partnership with the UC to provide its suite of products Canva for Campus to staff, faculty, and students systemwide. From Docs to the AI-powered Magic Studio, Canva opens the door wider for the UC community to leverage visual communication strategies in both content engagement and interdepartmental collaboration. The platform rollout will begin in January 2024 and will likely be completed in stages.

3. Festive Code - A UC Women in Tech Committee Festive Gathering

Dig out the ugly Christmas sweaters a little early for this holiday-tech crossover! The UC Woman in Tech committee is hosting a virtual networking event where participants can collaborate and connect while enjoying some festive spirit. Spend your lunch with some friends across the UC Tech community!

4. Workshop: How Can One Use Machine Learning and High Performance Computing for Humanities Research?

 

The UCLA Institute for Digital Research & Education (IDRE) is hosting a workshop to highlight the applications of machine learning in dissecting humanities research data. Using case studies, the organizers will showcase how both machine learning and high performance computing are powerful methods for processing and modeling humanities data. Join this event to see North and South Campus collide!
