Learn how UCLA Conferences & Catering, who were the folks behind the online portions of the 2021 UCTECH conference, brought a new look to meetings during a global pandemic in our next BruinTech Forward:

At the beginning of the Covid 19 Pandemic and once the campus announced its closure, UCLA Conferences and Catering canceled multiple events starting March and April of 2020. Some of these events were recurring in our venues every year and the department was severely impacted financially as we progressed in the following months of the shut down. As a hospitality group we were left without a concrete purpose, however, after a few weeks of the dread of not knowing what else we could do, we came up with a plan to offer our campus clients the possibility to help them manage their virtual meetings. In an effort to keep our relationships with our fellow event planners on campus and in an attempt to keep the campus together, we embarked on an extensive research and learned new ways to provide conference services virtually and even some Catering and virtual entertainment.
