Jason Pang is the IT Manager for the Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences (AOS) at UCLA, bringing nearly two decades of dedicated service to the University of California  — including 15 years at UCLA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego (2006) and began his career at the UCSD: School of Medicine as a Level I Technician, growing alongside the communities he served as he advanced to his current role in IT leadership.

Jason has long believed that strong technology communities are the foundation of meaningful progress. That belief has driven his active involvement in BruinTech for last four years, where he served on the Board of Directors as Vice President of Special Projects in 2022–2023 and continues to contribute as a Member at Large. Whether supporting his department or engaging with peers across the UC system, Jason is committed to building the connections that help technology professionals and their communities thrive.
